Coaches are responsible for knowing how to take all of the different functions of a team and mold them into one cohesive unit in order to operate at maximum efficiency. In football, it takes a talented quarterback to execute the plan and know where crucial players are at all times. Doug Moore, principal of Gibraltar Financial, has been in both positions and understands the importance of teamwork when helping clients reach their full potential.
Doug graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a personal financial specialist (PFS), which is the accreditation for financial planning offered by the Certified Public Accountants (AICPA.) Prior to founding Gibraltar Financial in 2000, Doug was CFO of several high tech companies in Washington, D.C. As a successful CFO, he refined his ability to bring many different departments together and meld them into an efficient team. His experience has proven useful while developing and applying a complex plan for our clients.
Doug currently lives in Pinehurst, North Carolina, and is active in the Pinehurst Rotary Club, where he acted as president and was responsible for several international projects providing critically needed equipment for the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital in Jamaica. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, skiing and attending football games at Virginia Tech. Go Hokies!
Glenn joined his father at Gibraltar Financial after working in Raleigh, North Carolina, for eight years, and he has recently relocated down to Southern Pines. He works closely with Doug to develop and manage several portfolio strategies while also discovering new ways to grow their business.
Glenn graduated from Virginia Tech in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in finance and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner. Over the years, he has continued his acquisition of industry designations, passing Level 1 and 2 of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst exams in 2013. Glenn is also a candidate for the Level 3 Chartered Financial Analyst exam in June of 2019.
In his spare time while he is not studying, Glenn enjoys golfing, exercising and being active outside.
